A Touch Of His Garment

Lev. 15:19 "If a woman has a discharge, and the discharge from her body is blood, she shall be set apart seven days; and whoever touches her shall be unclean until evening."
Lev. 15:25 "If a woman has a discharge of blood for many days, other than at the time of her customary impurity, all the days of her unclean discharge shall be as the days of her customary impurity. She shall be unclean."
Num. 15:37-40 "Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 'Speak to the children of Israel: Tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners. And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you may not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined, and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God.' "
Bible Note: It is tradition to wear the prayer shawl during morning prayer on weekdays, Shabbat, and holy days.
Matt. 9:20-22 And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment; for she said to herself, 'If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.' But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, 'Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.' And the woman was made well from that hour."
Bible Note: Can you imagine being set apart as unclean for 12 years? It was counted as a blessing for Jewish women to touch the fringe of the Tallit (a Jewish prayer shawl) as the men passed by. This might have been what the woman was doing when she touched Jesus' hem.
Matt. 14:35-36 "And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent out into all the surrounding region, brought to Him all who were sick, and begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well."
Mark 6:54-56 "And when they came out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, ran through that whole surrouding region, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was. Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the border of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well."
