Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the
brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those
who are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the
Lord..."
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of
heaviness..."
'The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me to preach
the gospel to the poor.
He has sent Me to heal the
brokenhearted,
To preach deliverance to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are
oppressed,
To preach the acceptable year of the
Lord.' (Isa. 61:1-2)
Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, 'Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.' "
Note: I had a fluttering in my chest and dizziness for a while so I went to a Billy Burke Healing Ministry meeting where he said, "God gives you beauty for ashes. What will you give Him?" I said, "My stress." A woman by me said, "That's a good thing to give Him." Note: This is staggering to think of yet I realized the name of Jesus still has power to work today, and I stood on His healing scriptures. Note: The power of the Holy Spirit works in us as we believe it does, and fervently seek to have it work! When Billy asked for some testimonies I went up and shared I had healing in my "5th lumbar disc, cataracts, and tightness in my chest that was scary. I couldn't take a deep breath, or walk 5 houses down the road, but the touch of the Holy Spirit healed me so my heart rate was normal. The next day I walked 2 miles down the road picking up cans and 2 miles up, praising the Lord the whole way." I told Billy, "I had flutters in my chest a couple of months ago, and dizziness and I am believing the Holy Spirit to 'Heal me on the way,' " Billy said, "Amazing." Then I said, "Oh, and my grandson was healed of Crohn's too." He touched me and down I went. I lay there a while, and when I got up I went home expecting a miracle. The next day I had one! God is good! And I'm living proof He still works miracles through His anointed people today! Pastor Billy has a heart to serve God, and is always in awe of the power of the Holy Spirit.
