Follow Me

Deut. 16:20 "You shall follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which the Lord your God is giving you."
Isa. 51:1-2 "Listen to Me, you who *follow after (pursue)
   righteousness,
You who seek the Lord:
Look to the rock from which you were
   hewn,
And to the hole of the pit from which
   you were dug.
Look to Abraham your father,
And to Sarah who bore you;
For I called him alone,
And blessed him and increased him."
Matt. 9:9 "Then as Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, 'Follow Me.' And he arose and followed Him."
Mark 8:34-38 "And when He had called the people to Him, with His disciples also, He said to them, 'Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.' "
See (If You Deny Jesus On Earth)
John 12:26

"If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor."

John 21:18-23 " 'Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.' "This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, 'Follow Me.' Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following...Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, 'But Lord, what about this man?' Jesus said to him, 'If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.' Then this saying went out among the brethren that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but, 'If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you?' "
Bible Note: I once heard a teaching on this verse that knit with my spirit.
Here it is for you...

The Cure For Resentment

Bible Note: There are two ways God speaks to us.

John 21:19 "Follow Me."
Bible Note: That's a command!

John 21:22 "If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me."
Bible Note: And confrontation.

1) No matter what we see someone else going through:
Do what God wants you to do!
2) Don't go to God saying "If You do this for someone else, do it for me." God can say, "If I want this person to have that and you not, what is that to you?"
3) Our faith answers to prayer, or what we believe.
4) Resentment comes from looking at others.
5) Contentment comes from looking at God. If we believe God will answer us, He will! The belief has to come from God. Be in your spirit, a word to you specifically.
Keep your eyes on God!
