God's Testing - And Man's

Num. 14:22-24 "because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice, they certainly shall not see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it."
Deut. 1:35-36 "Surely not one of these men of this evil generation shall see that good land of which I swore to your fathers, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him and his children I am giving the land on which he walked, because he wholly followed the Lord."
Example:
vs. 7
Psa. 106:1-48 lists the ten offenses.
"Our fathers in Egypt did not understand
   Your wonders;
They did not remember the multitude of
   Your mercies,
But rebelled by the sea - the Red Sea."
vs. 13-14 "They soon forgot His works;
They did not wait for His counsel,
But lusted exceedingly in the
   wilderness,
And tested God in the desert."
vs. 16 "When they envied Moses in the camp,
And Aaron the saint of the Lord."
vs. 19 "They made a calf in Horeb,
And worshiped the molded image."
vs. 24-25 "Then they despised the pleasant land;
They did not believe His word,
But murmured in their tents,
And did not heed the voice of the Lord."
vs. 28 "They joined themselves also to Baal of
   Peor,
And ate sacrifices made to the dead."
vs. 32 "They angered Him also at the waters of
   *strife, (Heb. Meribah)
So that it went ill with Moses on
   account of them."
vs. 34 "They did not destroy the peoples,
Concerning whom the Lord had
   commanded them."
vs. 37 "They even sacrificed their sons
And their daughters to demons."
vs. 43 "Many times He delivered them;
But they rebelled against Him by their
   counsel,
And were brought low for their iniquity."
1 Thes. 5:12-24 "And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and *admonish (warn) you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves. Now we *exhort (encourage) you, brethren, warn those who are *unruly, (insubordinate or idle) comfort the faint-hearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
Rejoice always,
pray without ceasing,
in everything give thanks; for this is the
will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Do not quench the Spirit.
Do not despise prophecies.
Test all things; hold fast what is good.
Abstain from every form of evil.
Now may the God of peace Himself *sanctify you (set you apart) completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it."
Jas. 1:2-4 "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produced *patience. (endurance or perseverance) But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be *perfect (mature) and complete, lacking nothing."
Bible Note: Apparently God can stand a whole lot more testing than man.
