had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the
ground; but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the
ground." |
| Gen. 7:11-16 |
"In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the
second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains
of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And
the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights. On the very same day
Noah and Noah's sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah's wife and the three
wives of his sons with them, entered the ark - they and every beast after its
kind, all cattle after their kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the
earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort.
And they went into the ark to Noah, two by two, of all flesh in which is
the breath of life. So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went
in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in."
 Note: It's important to realize the animals,
and birds, and insects had it instilled within them by God to go to Noah. He
did not go out to get them like we see in movies. Also until the flood of Noah
there was no rain on the earth, but a midst went up to water the ground
in the night. Can you imagine the terror that must have come on mankind when
all the fountains of the deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven opened
up to release all that rain? |

was hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing
on it but leaves, and said to it, 'Let no fruit grow on you ever
again.' And immediately the fig tree withered away."

| Mark 4:35-39 |
"On the same day, when evening had come, He said to
them, 'Let us cross over to the other side.' Now when they had
left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little
boats were also with Him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into
the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a
pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, 'Teacher, do You not care that we
are perishing?' Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea,
'Peace, be still!' And the wind ceased and there was a great
calm."
 Note: The pillow was the promise to go to the other side. Jesus was at peace knowing they would get there. When you are at peace in the Lord it looks like you don't care. |
