wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your
hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness,
nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered
your soul. Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits
iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, (1 Sam. 16:16 is an example)
he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin,
and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood
I will require at your hand. Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that
the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because
he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul." (Ezek. 33:1-9 is an
example) |

"But of that day and hour no one knows, neither
the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and
pray; for you do not know when the time is. It is like a man going to a far
country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his
work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. Watch therefore, for you do not
know when the master of the house is coming - in the evening, at midnight, at
the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning - lest, coming suddenly, he find
you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!" |
