To read my Bible Lord is what I want to do,
I long to let Your Spirit draw me closer to You;
I know my mind doesn't work like most others minds do,
But I always trust Your Spirit to bring the words for You.
No matter the person I would be with, or where,
I know the scriptures come to me without a care;
All these verses written to share with people Your love,
Are in my mind so fleeting, just like a lovely dove.
How can I show the others what You have done for me?
Lord, have Your Spirit tell me how the whole world will thus see;
The unsearchable riches of Christ, You say I'll bring,
Upon a mountain top I long to praise You, and to sing.
As I yield to Your Spirit, confessing sins on the way,
I know Your Word will show me how to stand strong, and not sway.
So I write down all these delightful poems You see,
Until the day You show me how for mankind they will be.
