The Lord Keeps Us

Num. 6:22-27 "And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
'Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, "This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:

'The Lord Bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon
   you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord *lift up His countenance upon
   you (look on with favor),
And give you peace.' "

So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.' "
Psa. 121:1-8 "I will lift up my eyes to the hills -
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to *be
   moved (slip);
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your *keeper (protector);
The Lord is your shade at your right
   hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall *preserve (keep) you from all
   evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall *preserve (keep) your going
   out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even
   forevermore."
John 17:9-21 "I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. And all Mine are yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of *perdition, (destruction) that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You would take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. *Sanctify them (set them apart) by Your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that you sent Me."

5-13-90 poem: When you first come to God you may not know why,
But you soon will see He helped you get by;
He was there with you throughout your whole days,
Moving you along, smoothing out your ways.

You look back and see His hand in all you did,
Little by little, like mapping a grid;
Because He knew you since the beginning;
He made you strong so you want to sing.

Praises to the Lord come from your own voice,
Because you realize you alsays had a choice;
Stronger each day His compassion will grow,
'Till one day you know, that you know, that you know.

He really is alive in everyone now!
You can't explain it, but you know it somehow;
All that's required to follow His way
Is knowing He is faithful to forgive you each day.
Jude 24-25

"Now to Him who is able to keep you
   from stumbling,
And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with
   exceeding joy,
To God our Savior,
Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,
Both now and forever,
Amen."
