Renewing Of The Mind - Through God's Word

Rom. 12:1-2 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. "

1 Cor. 13:9-13 "For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is *perfect (complete) has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

BibleNote: I woke on Jan. 17, 1993 seeing a TV and with these words in my head: "There are two pictures of what we look like, one we see, and the other infinitely different." Then I realized God sees me cleansed, thorough the blood of His Son.
Eph. 4:20-32 "But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in righteousness and true holiness. Therefore, putting away lying, each one speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. 'Be angry, and do not sin': (Psa. 4:4) do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give *place (opportunity) to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary *edification, (building up) that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, *clamor, (loud quarreling) and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you."
BibleNote: As you stay in the Word of God daily the Holy Spirit enables you to see the things in your life that are not pleasing to the Father. It is then your decision to let those things go, or not to. If your heart is set on pleasing God, but you find your flesh is weak, just be honest with God, and He can change your want to. In the process you become more like Jesus.
Col. 3:9-10 "Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him."
9-12-91 poem:
10:03 am
What can I do for You, Lord? To witness for You today?
Will You share with me how I can turn someone Your way?
Whether it be a poem written for all to see,
Or talking on the phone about how You have changed me.

My desire is to do Your will for me each day,
Knowing You are faithful to hold me when I stray;
As I learn how I did sin which kept my life a mess,
The unforgiveness dreaded is removed as I confess.

Then the doors are opened, the Holy Spirit comes in,
Lifting all my burdens to replace them with a grin;
A heavenly feeling comes to fill my very soul,
I am immersed in Your joy like diving in a pool!

There is no other thing to me that can be as real
As the tingle of my Lord's confirming grace I feel;
Your never ending love, and mercy I do know,
Not only removes my sin, but helps me as I grow.
