Salt Heals - Should Not Lose It's Flavor

2 Kin. 2:21 "Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, 'Thus says the Lord: "I have *healed (purified) this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness." ' "
Ezek. 47:8 "Then he said to me: 'This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed.' "
Matt. 5:13-16

"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

Israel insight
As I sat on the Mt. of the Beatitudes I cried out to the Lord, saying, 'Why am I here?' I have found I'm called to be salt.
Luke 14:34-35 "Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is neither fit for the land nor for the *dunghill, (rubbish heap) but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"
Colo. 4:6 "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one."
BibleNote: Christians are to be good salt that brings the light of the Word of God into the world with love, and grace. It is when we, as the salt, lose our flavor by allowing everyday cares and circumstances to distract us from the things God has revealed He wants us to do that we blend in with the world and they cannot see Christ through us. As we mature in the things of God we are to gently encourage new Christians to grow spiritually as well. Salt that loses its flavor isn't good for anything.
