God Tests Our Hearts And Minds

1 Kin. 8:35-40 When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against You, when they pray toward this place and confess Your name, and turn from their sin because You afflict them, then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Israel, that You may teach them the good way in which they should walk; and give rain on Your land which You have given to Your people as an inheritance. When there is famine in the land, or pestilence, blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemy besieges them in the land of their *cities; (Lit. gates) whatever plague or whatever sickness there is; whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this temple: then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You, only You, know the hearts of all the sons of men), that they may fear You all the days that they live in the land which You gave to our fathers."
Psa. 7:9 "Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked
   come to an end,
But establish the just;
For the righteous God tests the hearts
   and *minds." (Lit. kidneys, secret part of man)
Psa. 11:4-5 "The Lord is in His holy temple,
The Lord's throne is in heaven;
His eyes behold,
His eyelids test the sons of men.
The Lord tests the righteous,
But the wicked and the one who loves
   violence His soul hates."
Psa. 62:12 "Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy;
For You *render (reward) to each one
   according to his work."
Prov. 24:12 If you say, 'Surely we did not know
   this,'
Does not He who weighs the hearts
   consider it?
He who keeps your soul, does He not
   know it?
And will He not render to each man
   according to his deeds?"
Jere. 17:9-10 "The heart is deceitful above all things,
And *desperately wicked (incurably sick);
Who can know It?
I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the *mind (Most secret parts, Lit. kidneys),
Even to give every man according to
   his ways,
And according to the fruit of his doings."

Jere. 32:19 "You are great in counsel and mighty in *work (deed), for Your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings."
Rom. 14:10-13 "...For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
For it is written:

'As I live, says the Lord,
Every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall confess to
   God.'
     (Isa. 45:23)

So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother's way."

2 Cor. 5:9-10 "Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad."
