Remember The Sabbath Day

Exod. 20:8-11 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it."
Exod. 23:12 "Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your maidservant and the stranger may be refreshed."
Exod. 31:13-17 and 35:2-3 show penalties of death to him who breaks the Sabbath.
Lev. 19:3, 30 and 26:2 all have the Lord commanding His people to "keep My Sabbaths".
Mark 2:23-28 As the Lord went through the grainfields on the Sabbath His disciples plucked the heads of grain and the Pharisees said it was not lawful. Christ reminded them of David eating the priests showbread with his men and said, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath." (vs. 27-28).
John 5:8-16 Jesus healed a man by a pool on the Sabbath, saying, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." (vs.8) The Jews questioned His working on the Sabbath, and persecuting Jesus, sought to kill Him.

Rom. 14:5-6 "One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks."
