Gen. 19:24-25 | "Then the Lord rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the Lord out of the heavens. So He *overthrew (devastated) those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground." |
Luke 13:28 | "There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you

Luke 16:19-31 | The Lord speaks a parable of a rich man, and a beggar
named Lazarus, who both died on the same day. The rich man lived in luxury, and
the beggar "...was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which
fell from the rich man's table..." (vs. 20-21) Upon death angels carried
Lazarus to Abraham's bosom, and the rich man was in torments in Hades. The rich
man wanted to have Lazarus sent to his brothers, but was told they had Moses
and the prophets to warn them. If they don't listen the them they will not
listen to Lazarus. See (When Jesus Says "A Certain Man") |
2 Pet. 2:6 | "and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly." |
Jude 6-7 | "And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the *vengeance (punishment) of eternal fire." |
Rev. 14:9-11 | "Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, 'If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. And he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name." |
