Waiting On The Lord

Psa. 25:4-5 "Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day."
Psa. 27:14 "*Wait (wait in faith) on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!"
Psa. 40:1-3 "I waited patiently for the Lord;
And He inclined to me,
And heard my cry.
He also brought me up out of a horrible
   pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
He has put a new song in my mouth -
Praise to our God;
Many will see it and fear,
And will trust in the Lord."

Isa. 40:31 "But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like
   eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint."

Lam. 3:25-27 "The Lord is good to those who wait
   for Him,
To the soul who seeks Him.
It is good that one should hope and
   wait quietly
For the salvation of the Lord.
It is good for a man to bear
The yoke in his youth."
Acts 1:4-8 "And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, 'which,' He said, 'you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.' Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, 'Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?' And He said to them, 'It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.' "

Heb. 9:27-28 "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation."
Jas. 5:7-10 "Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not *grumble (Lit. groan) against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience."
