Psa. 16:10 | "For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption." |
Psa. 132:11 | "The Lord has sworn in truth to David; He will not turn from it: 'I will set upon your throne the *fruit (offspring) of your body.' " |
Matt. 27:50-54 | "Jesus, when He had cried out again with a loud voice, yielded up His spirit. And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many. Now when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earth- quake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, 'Truly this was the Son of God!' " |

"Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week
began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And
behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from
heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His
countenance was like lightning, and his clothing was white as snow. And the
guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. But the angel answered
and said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who
was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see
the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is
risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you
will see Him. Behold, I have told you.' So they departed quickly from the tomb
with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word." See (Jesus Is Our High Priest) A carbon dating process was done on the left side of the area where the Lord would have lain. It showed there was a body there, but it did not decompose. ![]() |
John 20:6-7 | "Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself." |

When a guest is treated poorly while visiting another
for a meal in Israel he folds his napkin neatly and puts it in a place by
itself as a sign that he "will never come here again" Jesus was saying by this
sign that He will never come to the grave again - for He is alive forevermore!

Acts 2:29-33 | "Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the
patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to
this day. Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an
oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would
raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning
the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did
His flesh see corruption. This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all
witnesses. Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having
received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this
which you now see and hear." See (The Holy Spirit Baptism - Bears Fruit) |
Rom. 10:6-10 | "But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, (from Deut 30:12-14) 'Do not say in your heart, "Who will ascend into heaven?" ' (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, ' "Who will descend into the abyss?" ' (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? 'The word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart' (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation." |
Eph. 4:8-10 | "Therefore He says: 'When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.' (Psa. 68:18) (Now this, 'He ascended' - what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)" See (Jesus - Put Away Our Sins) |
