The Lord Will Fight For You

Exod. 12:22-23 "And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two door posts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you."
Bible Note: The Lord provided safety for His people through the blood of a lamb when they came out of Egypt, but they had to be obedient and do their part.
Exod.. 14:14 " 'The Lord will fight for you, and you shall *hold your peace (Lit. be quiet).' "
Deut. 1:29-30 "Then I said to you, 'Do not be terrified, or afraid of them. The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes.' "
Deut. 3:22 "You must not fear them, for the Lord your God Himself fights for you."
Deut. 28:10 "Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you."
Example: Josh. 5:1
"So it was, when all the kings of the Amorites who were on the west side of the Jordan, and all the kings of the Canaanites who were by the sea, heard that the Lord had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel until we had crossed over, that their heart melted; and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the children of Israel.
1 Sam. 17:47 "Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord's, and He will give you into our hands."
2 Chr. 16:8-9 "Were the Ethiopians and the Lubim not a huge army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet, because you relied on the Lord, He delivered them into your hand. For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him..."
2 Chr. 20:15 "and he said, 'Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: "Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's." ' "
Job. 33:31-33 "Give ear, Job, listen to me;
Hold your peace, and I will speak.
If you have anything to say, answer
   me;
Speak, for I desire to justify you.
If not, listen to me;
*Hold your peace (keep silent), and I will
   teach you wisdom."
Bible Note: The young Elihu challenges Job to help him undersand God's sovereignty.
Isa. 26:20-21 "Come, my people, enter your
   chambers,
And shut your doors behind you:
Hide yourself, as it were, for a little
   moment,
Until the indignation is past.
For behold, the Lord comes out of His
   place
To punish the inhabitants of the earth
   for their iniquity;
The earth will also disclose her blood,
And will no more cover her slain."

Bible Note: When the Lord comes back in these end times He will still be fighting for His people. It will be His perfect sacrifice that covers the sins of all the earth. But we must still be obedient and keep Him as our constant focus in these difficult times.
1 Cor. 14:34 "Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says."
Bible Note: Exod. "...hold your peace." (Lit. be quiet), Job's "Hold your peace," (keep silent), and 1 Cor.'s "...keep silent..." all mean the same thing, but were translated different. The fact is that God wants all His peopple to be at peace, both men and women.
