Pursue Peace - As Much As Depends On You

Deut. 32:35 "Vengeance is Mine, and recompense;
Their foot shall slip in due time;
For the day of their calamity is at hand,
And the things to come hasten upon
   them."
Job 31:29-30 "If I have rejoiced at the destruction of
   him who hated me,
Or lifted myself up when evil found him
(Indeed I have not allowed my mouth
   to sin
By asking for a curse on his soul)."
Prov. 10:12 "Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins."

Prov. 20:22 "Do not say, 'I will *recompense (repay) evil';
Wait for the Lord, and He will save
   you."
John 14:27

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

Rom. 12:9-21 "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, *given to (Lit. pursuing) hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, 'Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,' says the Lord.

'Therefore if your enemy hungers, feed
   him;
If he thirsts, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of
   fire on his head.'
      (Prov. 25:21-22)

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
Rom. 14:19 "Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may *edify (build up) another."
1 Cor. 7:15-16 "But if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases. But God has called us to peace. For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife."
1 Cor. 14:33 "For God is not the author of *confusion (disorder) but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints."

Eph. 5:2-4 "And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God, for a sweet-smelling aroma. But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks."
2 Tim. 2:24-26 "And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will."

Tit. 3:1-2 "Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men."
Heb. 12:14 "Pursue peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:"
See (Armor Of God)
Jas. 3:17-18 "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace."
1 Pet. 4:8-10 "And above all things have fervent love for one another, for 'love will cover a multitude of sins.' (Prov. 10:12) Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."
