The Lord Knows Our Thoughts

1 Chr. 28:9 "As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever."
Psa. 94:11

"The Lord knows the thoughts of man,
That they are futile."
BibleNote: Years ago I had an uptake scan and x-rays taken on my thyroid. The x-rays took a half hour and I had to lie very still on a hard surface. I was not allowed to talk, or even move my mouth. So I could not even pray. The first ten minutes were OK, but during the second ten minutes my lower back and the backs of my knees were beginning to be very painful. By the last ten minutes it was excruciating and all I could do was think to God "Lord, help me in Jesus' name." That was when a song came on the radio that had a chorus which said "Somebody's watching you, somebody's watching you, God is watching you from a distance." I thought "Thank You, Lord." and hearing that song got me through. That Sunday the pastor asked me to do the call to worship, and I shared this incident, as well as the following scripture, while giving praise to God that He "understands our thoughts and comprehends our lying down."
Psa. 139:1-4 "O Lord, You have searched me and
   known me.
You know my sitting down
and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
You *comprehend (Lit. winnow) my path and my
   lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it
   altogether."
Matt. 11:28-30 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am *gentle (meek) and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Rom. 8:26-28 "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

1 Cor. 3:19-20 "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, 'He catches the wise in their own craftiness', (Job 5:13) and again, 'The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are futile.' " (Psa. 94:11)
1 Cor. 4:5) "Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, Who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts; and then each one's praise will come from God."

Heb. 4:12 "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Rev. 2:12 "...'These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword.' ..."
Rev. 2:23 "And I will kill her children with death. And all the churches shall know that I am He who *searches (examines) the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works."
