The Holy Spirit Duties

Exod. 31:1-5 "Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 'See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in undersanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.' "
Bible Note: The Holy Spirit has given me the ability, without fail, to perform all that God has put before me since I've come to the Lord.
1 Kin. 18:44-46 "Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said 'There is a cloud, as small as a man's hand, rising out of the sea!' So he said, 'Go up, say to Ahab, "Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you." ' Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel. Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel."
Bible Note: Elijah was enabled to run faster than a horse!
Luke 2:25-27 "And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy spirit was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ. So he came by the Spirit into the temple..."
Bible Note: The Holy Spirit not only revealed God's will to Simeon, but also miraculously transported him to see Jesus.
John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."
See (God Teaches You What To Say)
John 16:7-13 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."
See (Armor Of God)
Acts 8:26-40 The Angel of the Lord had Philip go down to Gaza. "Then the Spirit said to Philip, 'Go near and overtake this chariot.' " (vs. 29) Philip explained the Scriptures to a eunuch who then wanted to be baptized. "So he commaneded the chariot to stand still..." (vs. 38) "Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more..." (vs. 39) "But Philip was found at *Aotus. (Heb. Ashdod)..." (vs. 40)
Bible Note: Philip not only outran a horse here, but he was taken over 20 miles away to Ashdod in a flash by the Holy Spirit!
Rom. 8:26-28 "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."

Example: 1 Sam. 1:1-28
"Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard...." (vs. 13). Eli the priest thought she was drunk, but she said "...No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord. Do not consider your maidservant a *wicked woman (Lit. daughter of Belial), for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now." (vs. 15-16). The Lord granted her petition and she brought her first born son, Samuel, back to Eli to serve the Lord all his life.
1 Cor. 2:3-16 "I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
But as it is written:

'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for
   those who love Him.'
      (Isa. 64:4, 65:17)

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For 'Who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?' (Isa. 40:13) But we have the mind of Christ."
Phil. 1:6 "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

Bible Note: One night I woke not able to breathe, coughing violently, and I prayed to the Lord. It was then that the Holy Spirit gave me four poems. The following one I liked so much that I put it on bookmarks to give out to people for many years.
8-25-90 poem:
2:06 am
The Spirit of God comes over me,
Then my eyes open and I begin to see;
I see the Lord Jesus, and all of His pain,
He suffered it all for every man's gain.

He knew the end from the beginning,
How by His life lost He would be winning;
He cried to the Father to take up His cup
When His human flesh's will was used up.

But nevertheless let it be as You will,
He knew His life's blood was needed still;
So He Went to the cross to lay Himself down,
Whipped, slashed, and torn, wearing a crown.

With an arrow they then pierced His side,
His trembling He need not try to hide;
But on His face was a look of love
For all of mankind from heaven above.

After Jesus' death He was again risen
To release mankind's soul from hell's binding prison;
The key He gave to man in His name
So we may join Jesus in heaven to reign.
Bible Note: On my 40th birthday I heard as I woke:

Eph. 3:8 "...that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ."
Bible Note: These studies fulfill that Word!
5-15-90 poem: All men should read the Word of the Lord,
And follow His path of their own accord;
His righteousness is the Way, Light, and Truth,
Any other way we should never choose.

This, the Lord's decree, received in my dream,
Will not be as hard as, to you, it may seem;
Jesus' name is here with His Holy Spirit,
To make evil flee so we need not fear it.

His angels will be here, their hand in our hand,
So Satan and demons cannot take a stand;
When troubles come by, call out to Jesus,
Then any evil there immediately ceases.

We know Jesus died to forgive all our sin,
His precious blood, He washed us clean in;
But we really must begin to realize,
The name of Jesus works wonders in our lives.

Satan is a fake! He can make nothing!
He uses our words to set up his sting;
If we stay in the Word of the Lord each day,
God's Holy Spirit will show us the way!
